The top-shelf of basketball trading cards this holiday season is sure to be the NBA release for 2020-21 Panini Flawless Basketball.
Coming early January next year is the high-end release from Panini for the 2020-21 Flawless Basketball. The 10-card boxes are set to provide 8 autographs as well as 1 relic and 1 diamond gem card, in this set that focuses on some of the biggest and baddest cards of late. Expect plenty of hard-signings, game pieces, and coveted lower print runs for certain individuals and gems.
The set size is TBA, but so far we know that the base set is where you’ll find the non-autograph cards. Not to be outshined in this luxury release, the base cards will all come standard with an embedded diamond, and only numbered to 20 for extra rarity. The Rookie Cards will be the toughest to find along with a few parallels in short print runs for those who like the chase. Another option here are the Flawless Picks, pairing two players and two diamonds.
Moving on to the heavy hitters of this release, the Autographs and Relics. Filled with premium auto options this year, look out for past and present NBA stars in the Draft Gems Signatures and Flawless Finishes, each with on-card signatures.
Mixed options for the auto-relic fans include Flawless Patch Autographs, Signature Prime Materials and returning Star Swatch Signatures - all featuring an array of veterans, retirees and rookies.
Top-of-the-line memorabilia will be found in the Logoman Autographs, Championship Tags Autographs and Laundry Tag Autographs.
Newest edition, Triple Logoman, showcases three players in one go.
The most unique selling point of the 2020-21 Panini Flawless Basketball is that all memorabilia and swatches will be from authentic game-used gear.
Tentative release date is 5 January 2022.
