A diverse release of more than 20 different brands are on tap for 2021 Chronicles Baseball catch-all set for Panini.
Several brands this year won’t be getting their own standalone release, which means an abundance of rookie and top player cards as well as a contrasting mix of card types and technologies.
The base set of Chronicles Baseball this year will have 100 cards, excitedly featuring and mixing the past, present and future of baseball in this America’s Pastime series.
Hobby boxes will average three autos and one relic and few card techs to watch out for are those on the Optichrome and Holographic stock. A debut this season are several new brands featuring acetate cards, including Clear Vision, Clearly Donruss and Magnitude. There’s also Overdrive, a 25-card set for the best MLB stars which will feature on a pastel color palette.
Return favorites include Certified, with 50 cards of standout players from multiple generations, and the mirror parallels are back too with Mirror Gold, Mirror Green and Mirror Black to be found in Hobby and FOTL boxes.
Moving on to the hits, the autographs and memorabilia this year will show up in the Boys of Summer and America’s Pastime, with on-card signatures. Luminance Autographs is a 25-card set that combines signatures with standout photography.
Fans can chase the Electric Etch finish of the Obsidian Autographs and the hard ink signatures, oversized swatches and standout design of the Origins Rookie Jumbo Materials Autographs.
An estimated release date of 22 September 2021 is set for the 2021 Panini Chronicles Baseball, with an expected 8 cards per pack, 6 packs per box, and 16 boxes per case. Set size is still unknown.
