Panini UFC cards are on the horizon so let's look at the news and what could happen to the UFC card market.
Panini have picked up the license after an era of UFC cards from Topps who kicked off their UFC sets in 2009 in the Randy Couture era. Starting in April, Panini will kick off their UFC sets with;
- April - Prizm UFC
- July - Select UFC
- September - Chronicles UFC
- December - Immaculate UFC
Panini had this to say on their website:
“We’re passionate UFC fans here at Panini America, and we’re excited about what we can do with the UFC brand and the athletes on our trading cards. We’re looking forward to this relationship.”
What does this mean for the Topps era of UFC cards though?
We think it could result in some of those key cards becoming more popular because so many of the current, and greatest UFC fighters have their first "rookie" cards in those sets making them key collectables.

Heard of Joe Rogan?
He's got a rookie card in 2009 Topps too. What will happen to the value on that card if he posts about it or talks about cards on his podcast?
